I knew the food would be good here since it's a part of Mancys restaurant group.
Service was awesome during my visit. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was fast and friendly. We ordered the half feast which was more than enough food for two hungry adults. I'm usually not a fan of bbq chicken but this tasted really good and tender. The cole slaw wasn't too crunchy or drenched in dressing. The fries were hot and crunchy. My favorite was the loaded chili, which my guy let me finish.
Beer was tasty but they ran out of the beer my guy wanted so he had to order something else. Not a big deal.
My only complaint was that it was freakin freezing inside. I had to grab a fleece to keep from shivering. -

This is the place to go for GREAT food and EVEN BETTER service. The waitress made an error on our order last Saturday night. The manager (?) wanted to discount our dinner and the waitress wanted to cover that.
The waitress, I wish I could remember her name came to us right away took responsibility and apologized.
That is great. The service was good before this happened and it continued to be so.
I haven't talked about food yet....
My wife had a pulled pork sandwich with mild sauce
Her sister recommended the Brisket sandwich which she ordered so I ordered the Brisket platter. I don't like sauce much if it covers the flavor of the meat (or pork) and I was not let down.
There was so much delicious food we couldn't eat all of it.
With the great food and service I could not accept the
free meal, we ate it and it was gooood.
I look forward to my next trip to Toledo and eating there again. -

Meh. Not bad at all, but not great. Just A-Ok. Had the salad with brisket and the chipotle dressing (and an arnold palmer). Good but not great.
Cornbread muffins were sweet and cakey. Sweet butter was sweet.
The two bbq sauces were mediocre at best, absolutely nothing to rave about. Here too, they are sweet, even the hot one.
Service was good, and the food came out really fast (wonder why, maybe cuz it's warmed up bbq?).
Ok selection of beer. Although only one rotational on tap, all the rest are "lawnmower" beers (thee brands that are good only on a hot day after cutting the lawn). But a fair s er election of bottles.
Ambiance is good, see the photos.
I certainly won't go out of my way to come back here again, but I won't avoid it either if friends or fam are going there and I'm with them. -

Me and my family love going to Shorty's. Truly great food delivered by truly great people. And you wouldn't think that a barbecue place would have a great perch sandwich or dinner but it's out of this world good. Thank you Mancy's family.

First time last night and it was truly an awesome experience in a delicious dinner. It was late and after 9 p.m., so it was slow. The service was fast, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the steak and chicken dinner and enjoyed every bite! Great steak that was perfectly cooked and the chicken was delicious! I loved the Red potato salad, BBQ beans and the sweet corn muffins served up with butter. A wonderful dinner and I'm going back soon!
